Saying thanks

Tuckersm

This is a photo of my first bird dog, a German shorthair named Tucker.  My friend Carl gave him to me years ago when I was first getting in to bird hunting.
Funny how time passes.

Carl lived to be, as the bible says, 'a good old age'.  He mentored me as a teacher and coach, and was one of those fellas who forgot more about hunting and fishing than I'll ever learn.  But, I soaked up everything I could every time we were able to spend time together.  I'm grateful to be able to learn from him, and call him my friend.

I happened across this old photo, and figured it would be a fitting tribute.  I know he's up there finding all the good fishing holes and pheasant fields.
Until we meet again...

See you out there,
Brant
